Can Catholic Schools Survive?

An article in the Rochester City Newspaper questions the long term viability of even the remaining 11 schools in the Diocesan school system. It's interesting reading.

I was one of those parents who listed Christ the King as their first choice school for next year. Unfortunatley in yesterday's (4/18)CTK newsletter it states that they are “over” in grades 1, 2,3, 4 and 6. They have already decided who would be sent to their second choice school, so now I am wondering if I should have listed a second choice school at all. CTK is going to open another section for kindergarten and 5th grade since they are “way over” at those two grade levels and they will be hiring two new teachers. Those who were accepted will be getting letters on Monday.
